End of the Week Reflection
At the crash I was running through a bunch of emotions. I was on my way to dinner with former friends from Casey and I wasn't sure if I was going to make it. Luckily, the state trooper got to us within 15 to 20 minutes and the other driver and I exchanged our information. I took pictures of the car and then called the husband. While I was waiting for the other driver to finish taking down my info, I was also thinking about the super snow storm that was headed to Connecticut. I can't believe they named it Nemo. How cute. NOT! Dealing with a car accident and gearing up for a potential blizzard was bringing me back down on what I already felt was a draggy week. Before I could stress myself out more, I saw another car accident two exits away from where I had mine, and an individual was leaving the scene in an ambulance. I was lucky enough to be able to drive away. That's a win, plus I was on my way to the dinner with friends after all. Better late than never.
Fast forward to late Friday night. I'm huddled in my living room, looking at the storm through my window. It's pretty intense. While I'm not looking forward to shoveling, Karim and I do have a nifty two-person snow tube that we'll get to finally use. His mom gave it to us as a holiday gift last year, but there wasn't enough snow for us to take it out. There will be plenty tomorrow.
